As an athlete I have been able to overcome many changes. Growing up I always played in the post because I was one of the tallest players and was very physical. However, growing and by eighth grade I was now one of the shortest players. I had to work hard to develop new skills and learn how to use the ones I had already developed to play as a guard. My past experiences make me a dynamic player because I can play point guard, due to my excellent leadership qualities, guard or forward. I am a constant miss match, which I use to my advantage. My high school career so far has also had many changes, due to having three different coaches in my first two seasons. In just two short years, I was forced to adjust to each new coach, and his style of basketball. These situations have helped me to understand the game better than most players, work extremely hard and taught me to never give up. My AAU coach often calls me his Swiss army knife of his team.
Throughout my years of playing basketball, I have seen many people get injured, causing their career to be over. My dream is to succeed in school and one day be able to help injured players return to the sport they love so much. I am looking for a school that has a strong medical program, or a school with a strong science department. Finding the school that allows me to play basketball and fulfill this dream is my goal in searching for the right school for me.
