It is my goal to play basketball at the college level and to be challenged academically at a school that is the right fit for me. I feel that I would be a good candidate for a college team because I am dedicated to my teams success through leadership on and off the court.
I am a great team player and work hard with my coaches to continually improve my game. I have a solid mid-range jump shot and I have versatile skills in the paint. I have worked hard at refining my post moves and my outside game. This summer, my AAU team has been pretty successful with a championship win at the NTBA Myrtle Beach tournament and the USSSA NC Pound The Rock.
Off the court, I have participated my middle school team to host a, Play 4 Kay, 3 on 3 basketball tournament to raise money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. I have been a Girl Scout for nine years, I earned a Bronze award for hosting an International Festival for younger Girl Scout troops. In June 2016, I earned a Girl Scout Silver award by taking my experience with the Play 4 Kay 3 on 3 basketball tournament and developed a guide for other schools on how to host a 3 on 3 basketball tournament to raise money for cancer research.
I was a straight A student for all three years of middle school and for my freshman year of HS. I am dedicated to continuing high academic achievements and excelling in mathematics.
