My freshman season is only my 2nd year playing competitive basketball. I've played other sports when I was little but nothing ever really stuck. When I moved to Missouri in 6th grade, I started playing basketball and enjoyed it and I was excited to start playing for my school in 7th grade. However, in the summer going into the 7th grade I broke my wrist not once but twice. During the time, I realized how much I missed basketball and how much I needed to play. I missed the season but I knew I could come back strong, if I practiced hard enough. And I did, averaging around 20 points with a game high of 32 in 8th grade. Continuing to practice, I now start for varsity my freshman year averaging around 10 points. I know I have work to do but I'm willingly to do because I love the game.
I'm very fortunte to play for this highschool and have a great coach in Coach Matlock, pairing with awesome teammates, who will help me to grow over four years. Im looking to continue playing basketball at a colliegate level, where the program can challenge me athletically. My skill set as a guard is versatile, I can shoot well, drive, play solid defense and dribble. I can play the one or the two guard, so Im a good fit for almost any team. I play with passion and energy that I'd love to bring on your team.
