Rhandi Ball '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'11" guard and forward from Pontotoc, Mississippi. I have been a part of my varsity basketball team since 8th grade. As a senior, I am captian and have been for three years. I have 9 years of AAU club basketball experience and have won three Southern AAU State Championships and the AAU Classic Division Championship in 2009. In July 2010, my AAU basketball team, NMB Hoop Dreams, won second place in the DII- National Championship. Although my passion lies with basketball, I am a state champion(4-A) in the 100 meter dash for two years running and a silver medalist at the state level in the 200 meter dash, 100 meter hurdles, and high jump. These skills, sprinting and jumping, along with my basketball skills and experience have helped me earn several accolades such as, All-Area 1st Team (2009-2010), All-Area Offensive Player of the Year (2009), All-Area Defensive Player of the Year (2010), selected as a Mississippi All-Star and played in the Mississippi North/South All-Star Basketball Game (July 2010). Academically, I have a 4.0 GPA on a 4 point scale, I am currently ranked 8th of a senior class of 146, and I currently have a 23 ACT score of which I am looking to improve. I am currently enrolled in AP Calculus and have been enrolled in honors and other AP classes throughout high school. I have already attained college credit for College Algebra and English Composition 1 passing both classes with A's. I am a member of many academic and extra-curricular clubs ranging from the Knitting Club to Mu Alpha Theta Honors Math Club. I am a member and hold an office in the Student Council and I am the Senior Class president to name a few. Ideally, I would like to further my athletic and academic experiences at a high athletic and academic DI school; however I would absoulutely consider DII, NAIA, and high Academic DIII opportunities. I am interested in schools in the South East Region; however I am very open to exploring schools throughout the nation. I realize I have started this recruiting process late, however receiving a full scholarship is important to me and my family to ensure I receive a college education. I am committed to working hard to positively impact a quality basketball program while working diligently to complete a degree program of my choice.
