Kristin Garr '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a quick learner and have always had a great court sense. This has allowed me to learn all positions on the court, and be able to encourage and guide team-mates that might need more help. I am a good listener and have strived to give more than 100% at every practice, workout and game - motivating myself to always give my best. When our high school team transitioned through three head coaching changes, I stepped up to be the cohesive piece trying to help with communication between younger players, experienced players that did not get along and the coaches. By taking this lead and showing strength, my peers named me captain. I have been rewarded with Defensive Player of the Year honors for 2 years. Our AAU team has been ranked high in the state the last four years, gaining invitations to elite showcase events. I am ranked as one of the top 100 players class of 2011 in Michigan as well. I am passionate about basketball and school and hope to pursue a degree in pre-med or environmental science and include a possible minor in spanish. I am open to a variety of schools and embrace open opportunities to share my ideas.
