Going to the state tournament was an amazing feeling and accomplishment for my team and I. Being one of the leaders and sending your team that far is amazing. Thanks to my brothers, I became a good athlete and leader. I have three older brothers who are all very competitive and played/play basketball in high school. Ever since I was a little girl, in 2nd grade, my brothers and I would go play 2-on-2 games and they would make me work for everything. Around then I really got interested in the sport and started playing with a travel team. Throughout the years I have learned how to be a good leader, a team player, and how to respect others.
My academic goals are to be in the top percentile in my class and to go to a college that puts my classes as a priority. I believe a few unique characteristics I have are the ability to shoot from a distance, the ability to get open/make space, and to be a good leader to where nobody gets left behind. I have had to overcome a few obstacles as in a leg injury to my left knee and people doubting what I can do because of my size. I believe I am different from other recruits because of my ability to lead and the work ethic I have.
