My personal goal is to attend college to further my education. My passion is in helping others and would like to pursue a degree in the field of medicine, Sports Medicine or Pediatrics. My other passion is in playing basketball.
I was born in Hawaii and would like to experience the world on my own, outside of the Hawaiian Islands. Wanting to be far away from home, I am looking for a college that will provide a welcoming and safe environment but more importantly, a college that will help me grow as an athlete and as an individual on and off the court. I would be honored to play in the collegiate level, regardless of the division. My work ethic on the court will not be affected by the division I’m in nor my role on the team. I believe I am a true team player and always have the team’s best interest at heart. I am always determined to help my team in any way possible, whether it means sacrificing my own playing time to lift others or by just being there to provide motivational encouragement during practice, games and off the court.
I have been playing basketball since the 8th grade. I love the game because I enjoy being a part of a team. Rather than being the center of attention, I find satisfaction in seeing the entire team shine. If there was 1 word to describe myself, it would be tenacious. I’ve encountered many challenges but rather than dwelling on them, I just work harder to overcome them.
Aside from basketball, my academics is top priority because that will take me where I want to be in the future. A good education will provide me a future I can enjoy and be proud of.
