I have had access to "gym keys" since the age of five... my father was a high school basketball coach. Because of this, I had the opportunity to work with great coaches, mentors, and players. From learning how to shoot free throws from Mark Parent (MLB pitcher) to receiving ball handling training from Al Green (Sac High Coach/Trainer) to working on cardio with Alex Van Dyke (former NFL receiver/trainer)... and many others... I took the opportunities my parents provided and made the best of them.
My goals are to one day play college basketball and receive the best education to prepare me to be an athletic trainer for a professional (or college) team. I fully understand that my education will ALWAYS be top priority (outside of my family). I have challenged myself with academic courses (honors) that will prepare me to be successful in college. In addition to the course load and training, I volunteer as a summer school math tutor for underprivileged students. I am looking for a small school environment that values scholar-athletes and community outreach.
Finally, I am a team player. I am the first to practice and the last to leave. I get more joy out of an assist than a long distance three (and I love to shoot). More importantly, I enjoy playing with teammates that like to compete, get better, reach goals, and win together.
See you in the gym,
