Alexandra Rodriguez '12 Recruiting Profile

ALEX RODRIGUEZ I am a 5'9" Senior shooting guard/small forward from Rocklin, CA. I am currently attending Whitney high school and I have been a starter on varsity since I was a freshmen. My sophomore year I was named first team all-league with 10.3 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game. So far this year I have been named team captain. I have played four years of AAU basketball and each year has been a great learning experience for me. In addition to basketball, last year I enjoyed being the starting third basemen on the Whitney varsity softball team. Last summer I transferred from the post position to an outside player. To begin my move to the shooting guard/small forward position, I started training with Danielle Viglione to work on my ball handling skills and outside shooting. Working with Danielle has allowed me to add many new skills to my game and I plan on continuing to work with her throughout the next year. I am looking to attend a school in the Western region of the United States. I am interested in going to a college that offers physical therapy or nutrition. I have currently received a 3.8 GPA and am averaging above a 3.5. Though I am open to all divisions, I am looking for a good academic and athletically challenging environment. All divisions (I,II,III, NAIA) are options that I will consider. I work well with others and I am a lead by example person. I work hard at everything I do and am always making every effort to reach my full potential. I am ecstatic to see what school is the best for me academically and athletically. I am an all around player that can score, rebound, and pass. I work hard on the court and off the court to be a great athlete and student. I am continuing to pursue becoming the best player I can and that pursuit has recently resulted in my high game to this point of 37pts and 16rbs. I am excited to see how helpful I can become to my College team. Through my hard work and perseverance I believe I will be a great asset to my scool and to my teamates.
