Personal Statement

I’m a very well rounded student-athlete that’s involved in FFA, peer-mentoring and student council. I play volleyball and basketball and I have a GPA of 4.04. I like to be involved in my school and am very dedicated to everything I do. I love to play basketball in AAU and for my high school team.

I played on a local AAU team during the summers of 2010-2015. During the spring and summer of 2016, I played on a more competitive AAU team out of Chico. This was a bigger commitment for me and my family because practices and games were a minimum of a three hour drive away.

During my 14/15 basketball season, my varsity team got 2nd at the D6 state level. I am a very active FFA member, as I have been an officer in the McArthur chapter for two consecutive years. I competed in the parliamentary procedure competition at the state level and made it into the top twelve statewide.

I having been raising pigs for my local fair for the past 7 years and have won supreme grand champion and FFA reserve champion. During the 15/16 and 16/17 volleyball season I was starting varsity middle hitter.

During my 15/16 season, I won a section title, went on to the D6 state playoffs and ended up in the top four teams in the state. During the summer, when I am not practicing or playing basketball, I work on my family farm driving tractors and working in the garlic fields.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
