Allie Navarette '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Allie Navarette, I am 16 years old and I attend Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, California. I have been playing basketball ever since I was 5 years old and I have been playing club since 4th grade. I have been on Varsity since freshman year when I was only 13. For club I play for Cal Swish and my coach is Russ Davis. In the rare times when I am not in the gym shooting or running on the beach conditioning, my favorite activity is volunteering for Friendship Circle. Friendship Circle is a wonderful program that allows kids to volunteer and help special needs kids play sports, learn manners and just enjoy life. Ever since I volunteered to help teach basketball to the kids I have absolutely fallen in love with all of them and now I attend the Friendship Circle club at my school, volunteer for sporting activities and even attend photo-shoots and dances with them. The experience of just being around them is so rewarding and I really consider myself lucky for being able to become so close to them. One day, I aspire to become a teacher preferably to teach US history and maybe even become a basketball coach as well. What would make me a good candidate for your team is I could bring a sense of leadership. I'm a strong believer in "always be a leader, and not a follower", and I have always been the one to step up for what I believe is right and be someone people can look up to. I know I am someone people want to be like, and can look up to, and for that I am a perfect candidate for your team.
