As I have entered my junior year in high school, my mindset to play college basketball has greatly increased. I have been so motivated in school, working very hard to achieve the best grades that I can possibly get, not just for personal satisfaction, but to provide myself with various opportunities to get into selective colleges. From the many sleepless nights studying to the countless hours practicing, I would be so thankful to be blessed with the opportunity of being a future collegiate athlete.
Basketball has given me self-discipline and a valuable work ethic. Balancing school and sports has been a part of my life ever since second grade, and I couldn't imagine my life without basketball. I believe this sport is so valuable in the way that it has provided me with skills in leadership and confidence that I would be able to carry with me in my future career paths.
Most importantly, I feel I have been fortunate enough to have the wonderful support system of my parents who have continuously encouraged me to strive to achieve my dream of being a college athlete. Their support, constructive criticism and moral values have instilled into my mind that I have the ability to accomplish anything that I set my mind to.
As for my collegiate goals, being a well rounded athlete and student is at the utmost important. Specifically, I want to attain a major in business administration
To be blessed with the opportunity of playing college basketball would solidify to myself that all of my hard work in school and sports has paid off. It would be a dream-come-true to continue the sport that I absolutely love in the school that will help me to be academically successful.
