Personal Statement
My name is Ilene Tsao. I am currently a 5'5" Senior at Mission San Jose High School. I have been on varsity since freshmen year and am currently the captain as well as the starting point guard of a 26-3 team. We also won the title of MVAL league champions last year, and I was awarded as a member of first team all league and 2011 Honorable mention All-Metro girls Basketball team. Basketball has been my passion since I was in third grade and playing college basketball has always been a goal of mine. I value my education so I would like to attend a good four-year college, but I am pretty open to different types of schools. Ideally, I would like to major in communications ,business or accounting. As a captain, I believe I am a great vocal leader on and off the court. I am not easily flustered during a game, and I bounce back quick even after making a mistake. I am always willing to put in the extra time in order to improve my game and I know that basketball will always be a big part of my life.
