Denisha Lundy '12 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Denisha Lundy. I am a Senior, 5'5, 140 Pounds, Varsity starting Point Guard, and shooting guard.  I play for Vanden High School. I hold the record with 504 assist for the four years at Vanden, and 12 in a single game and didn't play th 4th quarter. This year I was All City League and was 2nd in Conference Player of the year, voting. I recieve the Coach's award. and All first Team Award. As captain, of a team who has won league for 11 years straight, but my 3rd straight year. As a point guard I realize it is my responsibility to lead the team on and off the court. Set good examples especially in the classroom. I am a very good leader, I am also very vocal on the court. I communicate with my coaches very well so that the coaches, the players, and myself are all on the same page. I'm a very hard working student. "Point guards lead from the front, not the back" is a quote that has always been important to me. I am in the starting 5, and I have been since I was a sophmore. I am the first on the court, and the last to leave. Playing basketball for a college has always been a dream of mine ever since I picked up a basketball.  I am open to any school that would want a player like me. My goal is to not only make it at the collegiate level, but to have an impact when I get there. Playing at the highest level of competition is what I'm aiming for. Not necessarily a D1, but any college that fits my skill level.
