Jennifer Ponce '11 Recruiting Profile

I am 4'11 and I weigh 100 lbs. Basketball has always been a part of my life, they tell me I can not go anywhere due to my size but I will prove them wrong. I am a very determined person and I will not quit until I get it right. I have great leadership skills, I was captain my junior year and when I was in Track & Field, my first year I was put in Varsity. I got many awards and medals in my 200 meter dash. That was my favorite event in track. My dream is to play for UCLA. However, I am also intrested in schools out of state, that'll also give me the privilege to learn how to be on my own and be more responsible. I am looking for a big school and the academic level has to very high because education is really important to me. I will be signing up for FASFA soon because my family cannot afford college for me. I hope to become a teacher and get my bachelors in liberal arts and get my teaching credentials. I have a very bold personality so I am also thinking of becoming a drama teacher. Being a sports athlete I hope to make an impact on them and have them become an impact on me as well. I know I can bring a lot to the team. I also hope to compete with some of the greatest college athletes and also improve my skills the most I can. I am most definitley determined to prove everyone wrong and show anybody that if you put your mind into something and you do not give up, you will get to your destination.
