Personal Statement

I have many goals that I want to achieve throughout high school, college, and beyond.  Some I have already achieved in my first year of high school.  At the beginning of the year I set goals that included earning a 4.0 grade average, making the Varsity team as a freshman and breaking the NAL record for three pointers made in a season. I accomplished all three.  The previous record was 81 made three pointers in a season.  I broke that record and finished with 91.  I am ranked #4 in California for made three pointers and 22nd in the nation.  I hope to improve those rankings next year and break my own record.  I also finished the season as the leagues leading scorer and was awarded All League honors.                                                                                                                                 Between now and next season, I will continue to practice everyday, work out with my trainers and play for my AAU team.  I am also coaching the 7th/8th grade girls NorCal Heat AAU team.  Being able to teach the girls and make a positive impression has been rewarding.                                                 My long term goals are to graduate high school,  never earning less than a 4.0 and continuing my education at university.  I would like to major in the medical field and obtain both a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree.  I want to continue to play basketball all four years of college and beyond if I can.  Being able to one day be known as one of the best basketball players is another goal I have.  I have been working so hard the past couple years on getting stronger and bigger. I do P90X work outs four times a week, plyometric and weight training with my trainer three times a week and practice my shots and ball handling skills nights and weekends (sometimes until midnight).  I understand that the only way to reach my academic and athletic goals is to put in the hard work, never let up on my studies and stay fully committed to the process.  I am very much looking forward to the future.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
