My name is Megan Norris. I am in the graduating class of 2021 and have been playing club basketball for a little over two years. I attend Sacred Heart Prep, in Atherton, California. I started playing basketball after my current coach Melanie Murphy asked me if I would consider playing club for her. Although I was playing many sports at the time, I fell in love with basketball and I knew I wanted to work on my game. I have played for Mel and her club Torch since then.
This past summer I had the opportunity to play in tournaments like the End of the Trail in Portland, Oregon and the End of the Trail in Walnut Creek, California. I was also invited to a showcase tournament called Gem is in the Gym Fresh Faces hosted by Kameo Williams who is an NCAA scout. This tournament was for the class of 2021 and it was a great experience for me to play with girls my age. All of these tournaments helped me to grow as a player and as a teammate.
I am looking forward to my first year of high school basketball. I just finished playing water polo for Sacred Heart and I can’t wait to start my high school career. I have set a goal for myself to play basketball at a college that pushes me in the classroom and on the court.
