Entering into my second year of varsity as a junior, I was expecting to be a starting shooting guard, averaging about 15 points a game. Due to a fatal ACL tear that our point guard endured, I was asked to step into her position. I gave up a lot of my shots and points, but I learned to be a better team player, and leader. Sure, I made a sacrifice, but I think in the long run, it was a blessing in disguise, because I learned how to be a better team leader.
