Jacqueline Landry '15 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball only since 6th grade. During my freshman year, I found that I wanted to play basketball exclusively, though I had played travel softball successfully for many years and was on the high school team.  I am excited about the opportunity to play basketball in college.  I love the camaraderie of the team.

I am a strong defensive player who is tough in the paint.  I am a solid rebounder, good ball handler and I have excellent passing skills and a high basketball IQ.  I am very coachable.  My club coach tells others that I have progressed faster than anyone he has seen.  I work hard and believe that hard work is the best way to improve.

I have always wanted to be an elementary teacher.  I volunteer every week to act as a teacher's assistant in a local elementary school.  I am also on the leadership team for teens at my church. 

I can't wait to attend college to achieve my life goals.  I study as hard as I practice.  I am open to many colleges as long as they are the right fit for me and the team.   I look forward to the new challenges.
