Savannah Ashley '20 Recruiting Profile

    I started softball when I was three years old (if t-ball counts), because it was my mom's favorite sport and she wanted me to try it. I loved it from the very beginning. Ever since I started, I have worked to be the best I can be, and one of my biggest goals was to make Varsity on my high school team as a freshman. Now that I have achieved that goal, it has made me realize that if I set my mind to something, and work at it, I can do it. Softball has also taught me to never give up on my dreams, and that having close relationships with others (teammates) can help you reach those dreams. I consider myself a leader on my high school team, even as a freshman, as well as on my travel team. I take pride in pushing my teammates to do the best they can and to try their hardest. My dream is to play college softball and get a high quality education.

    Off the field, I apply the same skills to my school work and to my life. I set the bar very high for myself in school, and strive to do the best I can. That means maintaining good grades and getting high test scores. I am also a very competitive student, and school is one of my highest priorities, along with being a good person. I am a leader in group activities, and I make sure everyone does their part.  I do my best to be a good person, to help others, and to be a supportive member of my family. I aspire to attend medical school to become a surgeon, and I aspire to play collegiate softball.
