For as long as I can remember softball has been my life. As a little girl I stood at the fence watching the excitement of the game as my big brother played baseball. He was an amazing baseball player and still is to this day. He had a connection to the game that was different than most players; he studied the game and applied it every time he stepped on the field; watching him is where my dream began. As I stood there watching him play I wanted to know every little detail about the game. Everything... I went to every game. I could tell you who had the big hit, who struck out, who was the fastest on the bases, and who had the game changing play, but I wanted more. I needed more! As I've grown up playing the game I have realized that softball has taught me about the person that I am and the person that I want to become. It's about hard work and dedication. Softball is not just a game, it's my life. I consider myself blessed to have the privilege to step on a field everyday. It brings out every emotion; happiness, sadness, excitement, disappointment, but mainly the feeling of accomplishment. The most amazing feeling is to overcome an obstacle because of perseverance. It brings out the best in me; it is my getaway. Playing college softball is my life long dream and I hope to fulfill that dream!
