I became interested in softball when I was playing with my dad, friends and family in the backyard, then my first season of coach pitch. After my first season of softball I realized how much I really loved playing. When I got to middle school I started playing volleyball, basketball, ran track and cross country, but most of all I love softball. For track and cross country I set three school records as a 7th grader and hope to improve my times. In my free time I also love to workout with my strength and conditioning coach. Since I am always the shortest on my travel ball team and middle school team I have to out work and out hustle everyone to be better. As a slapper I have good hand eye coordination, good bat control, and I am fast.
I have had to overcome being overlooked as a small player and rewarded those coaches that gave me a chance. Also winning track and cross country races has given me confidence in who I am. I have learned what it takes to be a leader on and off the field, always be positive, being coachable, and being a good teammate.
My academic goals for high school and college is to get straight “A’s” and earn a degree in Electrical Engineering. I would really like to get a job in the aerospace industry like my dad and work on designing airplanes.
