Hi my name is Michelle Gamez and I'm currently a Sophomore at North Forney High School, Class of 2020. I was the starting catcher for our JV team last year (Freshmen year 2016-2017). High school softball has not started, but I'm on the Varsity team for Fall Ball. I also play with the Dallas Tigers Softball Club under Daniel Picazo. I play Catcher, outfield and infield (2nd/3rd); pretty much wherever they need me. I was nominated to USSSA All State this spring season and was able to participate in the USSSA All State Tournament this summer.
My second sport is Volleyball. I'm on the JV team this year; I'm a starter and all around player.
My college goals are to pursue my college degree in Business Administration/Operations and continue with a certification in Culinary Arts in hope to one day accomplish my dream of opening up my own business.
I believe I'm a good candidate for your team because I work hard, I'm coachable and give 110% on and off the field. I can play any position except for pitcher, but If asked to, I can learn it as well. I'm a good student, reliable, and responsible. I'm a team player and committed to my team.
What makes me different from other people is my fun and positive attitude; I'm amicable and independent. I'm focused and don't get distracted with un-necessary drama. I play other sports besides softball, I also play volleyball (played soccer since 4 years old). I've always pushed myself hard and welcome feedback.
In school, I focus on my studies and don't get distracted. I'm organized and know my priorities and try to be proactive.
Looking forward to what is in store for me in the near future. Thank you.
