Hannah Chapa High...Personal Statement
Helping my highschool team make the playoffs and winning the first round as a freshman was an amazing highlight of my year. Although we lost in the second round to the team that would eventually win state, I grew as an athlete. That experience gave me the drive and determination to want to become a better student athlete.
Even though I was only a freshman, I took on a leadership role for my team. As a pitcher and a seasoned softball player, it became my job to step up and help lead the team in the right direction. I have learned how much teamwork, sacrifice, commitment, and leadership play a vital role in helping a team be successful. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically. I believe I have the leadership skills, work ethic, and knowledge to help make in impact on a program. I know I have what it takes to be a team player.
