Kaedyn Filburn '21 Recruiting Profile

Dear Future Coach,

Hi my name is Kaedyn Filburn, and yea I like softball....read my profile or whatever...

Ok, obviously that was a joke. Yes, my name is Kaedyn Filburn. Yes, I love softball, but it is more than that. I have a burning determination to reach my goal of playing softball in college while earning my degree and graduating Summa Cum Laude.

I pride myself on my academics because aside from softball it is the most important thing to me (not including family of course.) I am always striving to do better on every little thing. If I make a 90 on an assignment that is good, but I know I can do better! So, I will go into school 2 hours early or stay late after and do corrections to bring that grade to a 95. This illustrates my high work ethic. My commitment to softball is no different. My goal is to go out EVERY SINGLE DAY and practice, no excuses. I have big goals, but every hit, every pitch, every play is important.

I also think I would work well in your team environment. I love to be around family and friends 24/7.  I love my softball family, my cheer family and all things that give me an opportunity to interact with people or show my school spirit. As you can tell from my beginning statement, I am a little sarcastic (okay a lot!)

I think that I would be a valuable asset to your team because of my work ethic, determination,  and I am a team player with devotion to academics first.
