Shannon Gray '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a senior from West Chester, PA. I have played 8 years of travel softball with the top travel organizations in Chester County. I have been playing softball since the age of five and travel ball since 10. I have been a varsity starter at West Chester Henderson high school, which competes in the Chesmont National league, since my freshman year. In my freshman year I was the JV pitcher and played at SS in a number of varsity games. I am a strong defensive 2B with very good speed and a high onbase percentage as a slapper. I am versatile in the field as I can also play SS and OF. I am a hard worker and feel that I am a good teammate and support my team. I am a coachable player who likes to push myself and continue to improve in all areas. In college it is very important for to find a school where I can excel both academically and athletically. I love to be challenged on and off the field and I am eager to find a college that will help me pursure my dreams of playing College Softball while continuing my education in the field of sciences and possibly nutrion. I am very open to all schools, both large and small - the feeling of the team and of the academics programs will tell me what is right for me. I am searching for a school that will offer me a great education and the opportunity to play softball for a quality program.
