Christen Martin '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Christen Effie Martin. I have been playing softball since I was four years old, and I cannot get enough of it! My mother says I was a natural since I scooped up a grounder, turned, and threw to first my first season of T-ball. Currently I play for Velocity Elite 18U travel team. I also play for my high school softball team. I throw and bat right handed. My positions are pitcher and first base. I have been playing travel softball since I was twelve playing two years of 14U and three years of 18U most recently with North Penn Eclipse 18U. My greatest softball moment was pitching the championship game for the 2013 PA Eastern A State tournament. I pitched four shut-out innings and was the winning pitcher with a final score of 4-1. Coach Lenny also gave me the game ball. I will never forget it! I would love to continue playing and challenge myself at the collegiate level. It is something I've always wanted to do since I was a little girl. I strive to be the best person I can be on and off the field. I try to be a leader on my softball teams.
