Personal Statement

Hello!  My name is Renee Wall and I live in Topton, PA, a small town in Berks County.  I am currently a student at Brandywine Heights high school and will be graduating in 2017.  I have and continue to work hard to be the best student/athlete possible.  I am a dual sport athlete playing basketball in the winter and softball in the fall and spring/summer seasons.  My freshman year I was named the varsity started for 3rd base, a position which was new for me but one that I've grown to love.  In my sophomore year, I was named the varsity starting catcher however I have become more of a versatile player for our team, playing catcher, first, third, second and short and some all in one game.  I love the diversity of each position as well as knowing that my HS coach can count on me to transition easily and smoothly during a game based on the needs of the team.
I play tournament softball for NGS Premier 18U showcase/tournament team and this is my first year with them.  Prior to NGS, I played for the Lehigh Valley Legends 18U Showcase/Tournament team for two years.  My primary position is center field however like my HS team I've played a variety of positions - catcher, third, second and the outfield (all positions) - based on the needs of my coach and team.
My plans for the future consist of going to a great school that combines my love of softball with an excellent academic program in the area of physical therapy and/or sports medicine.  I am excited to take my game to the next level and look forward to the opportunities that await me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
