Hello my name is Lexus Allen. I am a very dedicated, hard working, and devoted young lady. I have a passion to excel in the classroom and on the field. I have an understanding of time management and how to use it to my advantage. One of my goals that I have set for myself is to attend college to study Secondary Education with an emphasis on American Cultures and to play softball at the college level. Goals to me are an important part of life because it shows you what you have to do to achieve your dreams. The college that I would like to attend is one that is located with a reasonable distance to my home so that my family will be able to come out and support me in all the aspects of college life. To me it does not matter what the size of the school is, it is how comfortable I would feel with the classes, location, and the all over outlook of the school. Growing up I was always told that my education is first and everything else is second and thanks to that I am honor student and an athlete.
I am a pitcher, first, and third basemen. I have been playing since I was 8 years old. At first I did not want to be a pitcher but I soon realized that I loved it and that I was good. As a freshman I earned the starting varsity pitcher postion for Harrisburg High School. I was a team captain and help to lead the team to the most wins they have ever had in one season. I broke the record for strike outs by more than 50% and I broke the win record for a season. I was voted to the Patriot News All Star Team this year as a freshman. I am currently playing travel ball for the PA BallHawks. I am the #1 pitcher for their team. I enjoy the game alot and I am dedicated to the constance change that comes and the lessons that are learned.
Education is also very important me to me because without a good education and a college degree I realize that many opportunities would no longer be available to me without this. I also know that as long as I keep my grades up and excel in the classroom that doors will be open to receive a quality education and be able to play college ball at the most competive level. My family does have a financial need to help pay for my education.
Thank you for your time and I am really looking forward to start the next chapter in my life. It is time to start looking at colleges and university to see where I fit. I know this will be a great experience as I strive to achieve my goals of attending college and playing softball at the collegiate level.
