Dear Coach,
I have had many goals that I have surpassed throughout the years, but my dream was always the dream of getting into an amazing university. Gratefully, I realized that I could also live out my other dream of playing softball at the collegiate level too. I have great respect for the game, coaches, and umpires. I know that they all deserve the respect that I would like to receive. I'm always the first one on the field and the last one off. I love when coaches give me instructions to help me improve. I never take a coaches criticism as a bad thing, more as a time to figure out what I am doing wrong, then on to fixing it. I have been told many of times by my fellow teachers and teammates that I'm not good enough or smart enough to do something. Personally, that drives me to work harder every single day, whether that's hitting or studying. My ultimate dream is to prove everyone wrong. What keeps me playing is my love for the game. Hearing my coaches and teammates cheer me on is probably my favorite part about softball. It brings me so much joy to hear people encouraging me. Although, I do wonder how my teammates feel when I'm cheering for them at the top of my lungs. The biggest difference between me and other recruits is that I play for my team not myself. My accomplishments are their accomplishments. It is impossible to win a game with just one player. I also am very proud of my academic achievements too. I have obtained a 4.0 GPA my whole middle school career. Many of my teachers have doubted my abilities but I have continued to amaze them. Lastly, I am very grateful for my performance in Softball. Transitioning from playing with the boys in baseball to playing with the girls in softball was difficult at first. I struggled early before the season started, but I worked very hard through the transition and did very well that season. I am very thankful for everyone who has contributed to my softball career so far. They made a huge impact in my life.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day and learning about me.
Sincerely,
Isabella Corman
