I have always been competitive in everything I do. I love having competition. When I'm on the mound and adversity comes my way, I take it head on. I will never be afraid to win or lose because I know that as long as a gave it my all, nobody will be upset with me. When it comes to my pitching I would say I'm different than most recruits out there. I believe in working a "backwards count", meaning I go at the hitter with my change-up to get them off balanced, then I come with a breaking ball to make them chase, and when I get two strikes on them I throw another breaking ball, but two or three balls of the plate. I have found this method has worked so much more effectively than just a standard pitching sequence. My go-to pitch is my backdoor curve or my change-up. I rely heavily on my backdoor curve because it breaks so much into the zone and it usually leave hitters stranded at the plate. I hardly ever throw fastballs unless I become behind in the count. I'm consider myself a weak contact pitcher more than a strikeout pitcher. I have late break on my pitches and I am able to locate them all through the zone. I love to hit. I am a natural lefty so I hit and throw lefty. I am able to slap but I prefer standing in. Though my main focus is softball I focus heavily on my academics. I will take as much time out of my day as I can to make sure my grades are in check.
