Personal Statement
My name is Hannah Trent, and I am in the class of 2015 at Houston High School in Ohio. I play for the Miami Valley Xpress 18u Premier Gold team, and my coach is Chris Bower. My dream, or ultimate goal in life, is to get a scholarship to play for a successful college softball team and major in Biology or Pre-Med to become an interventional radiologist. My education is very important to me, and I would love for a college with a good medical program and a solid softball team to be interested in me! I am known as one of the "hardest workers" and "most coachable" players on my softball teams. Being determined and game smart, I strive to know the game inside and out, and I'm always looking to challenge myself and take softball to the next level. I also enjoy trying new things, which has developed me into a utility player including being able to play outfield, infield, bunt, catch, and especially hit for power. I have had experience at all nine positions on the diamond, although my favorite, and starting position on my travel team is center field, due to my speed and aggressiveness. I broke the school record for most home runs in a season with 6, received 1st team All-County, made the All-Dayton Metro North team, and recieved Best Offensive Player award at my school- all achieved as a sophomore. As a sophomore I also made the Southwest District Ohio Allstar Team, being the only person from my high school to ever make it! I work out three times a week with a personal trainer at F.A.S.T. in Lima in order to become a stronger and faster athlete, and my hitting coach that I go to once a week is Tim Duncan. I want to be the best that I can be, and I want to be noticed. I know that there is always room for improvement and I'm always trying to get better!
