What details of your life have influenced who you are:

I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete at the beginning of 2017 when our team didn't win its championship.  That experience helped me learn and advance as a person and lead me to reset my own attempt on becoming a sharper player and be capable of playing at the college level.  That experience also helped me learn that failing is okay, and we all have to learn from those types of opportunities.  I also feel that my dedication and support of my family and my father's love of baseball has shaped my competitive nature and love of softball. 

 When and how did you become interested in your sport:

I became interested in softball at the age of 8 years old because of my dad.  When I was little, I would always ask about what he used to play when he was younger and how he enjoyed the game. We watch baseball (professional and college) on TV and whenever they made a great play in baseball or college softball,  I would  say, "that's going to me one day."  

What are your academic goals for high school? For college:

My academic goal for high school is to have a good GPA, learn new things, and get some computer certifications.  My goals for college are to pursue a bachelor's degree in computer science while also playing softball.

What have you learned about yourself through playing your sport:

I have learned that I am very strong, competitive,  and that I enjoy playing softball.  I have learned that failing is okay and to use it as a stepping stone for improvement and opportunities.   I have learned to be a leader and pick up my team when it is most needed. I have learned that having a good attitude will affect every aspect of the game and to encourage and influence team members to have a good attitude even when things are tough.
