I am a hard working, motivated athlete as well as student. I want nothing more than to attend college and continue playing softball, which is my passion. I currently play for both my school team and a travel/college showcase team. I love playing softball and I look forward to all of my practices, batting lessons, and games. Softball takes me to a place where I can feel my confidence grow and I feel joy in my heart. Softball is my outlet and it helps me to keep things in perspective. I am a serious student that knows what it means to focus on your schoolwork and studying. Softball gives me a different outlet from that focus. I find the focus needed for softball is like nothing you can experience in the classroom. I love the quick decisions and thought that goes into each and every play. The continuous awareness of the game and expectations keep you thinking and evaluating each moment. My aspirations as a student in college is to work with people through social work and psychology. I love to work with and help other people. I feel softball is a sport in which working with others and reading the expressions and using eye contact is key. The ability and desire to work with others is also a key component within this sport.
