My name is Brianna Burley and I am looking forward to my future as a college student and athlete. I plan to attend college to get my bachelor’s degree in health sciences or biology and then my master of physician’s assistant studies. I strive to do the best that I can in the classroom as well as on the field. Sports have always been a huge part of my life but softball has become a passion.
My desire for softball has not only taught me things revolving around the sport but has also taught me crucial life lessons as well. I play softball year round on an ASA travel softball team, as well as on my high school varsity team.
As a freshman I was the starting pitcher for our team and was chosen for 1st team all-state as well as receiving the team MVP award. As a sophomore last year I was chosen as captain of my high school varsity softball team, received the team MVP award and was also chosen as 1st team all-state. I have just finished my junior year and once again was team captain, MVP and received 1st team all-state again, we had a great season finishing with the best record in our schools history. I feel that I am a team player and I am always picking up my teammates when they are down. I am a leader on and off the field. My goal for my senior year is to lead my team to a state championship and strive to perform to the best of my ability in all aspects of my life.
Throughout High School I have been a multi-sport student athlete (soccer, basketball and softball), and for the past three years I have volunteered as a youth 1st and 2nd grade basketball coach and I help out our town youth softball teams by giving the young girls pitching lessons. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and being involved in my community as I believe that giving back and being involved in your community is very important.
