Taylor Cecil '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Taylor Cecil and I attend West Plains High School in West Plains, MO.  I am a student athlete who focuses on maintaining a high GPA.  Grades and schoolwork is my top priority.  As an athlete, I have grown a strong passion for softball that I would like to take with me throughout my college career.  Softball has given me so many amazing experiences, friendships and memories, but most of all I have learned that success is earned through hard work.   Last year (8th grade) I earned All -Conference in five out of the six sports I participated.  I also achieved Miss Lady Mustang for my middle school. Miss Lady Mustang is awarded to one female student athlete who maintains a high GPA, good performance in at least three sports, displays excellent character and someone who overall represents Glenwood School with high integrity.  Some of my most rewarding moments in softball thus far are:  2017 Ozark Conference Champions and placing 2nd in our District.  I made 1st Team All-District as a freshman this year. I was the only freshman in the District to achieve this honor.   I also made 2nd Team- All Conference as a freshman.  Additional awards I earned my freshman year are "Rookie of the Year," and "Hustler Award."  Now that school softball has concluded, I am playing on my traveling team called Missouri Storm.
