Bailey Pelc '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Bailey Pelc, and I would be extremely grateful to earn this scholarship. As I see my senior year coming to an end, I realize my responsibility as an adult and the want of achieving greatness in the dreams I have, continuously growing. The cost of getting a degree and future job in dentistry is very expensive for my family of seven to afford. This scholarship would be an opportunity to start off my future and to help ease the distress of paying for college.

I plan to go into the field I find to be quite unique, which is dentistry. This specific field is very time consuming, requires the hard work and dedication that I know I have and is shown by my accomplishments in sports. I have been able to participate in three sports for the past four years,and have been awarded All Conference and All District, while also keeping a 3.07 GPA. Although sports mean a great deal to me, my main focus is on academics and future job as a dentist.

My future is everything to me and more. This is an opportunity I have to set myself up for an amazing future and to one day acquire my dream job. At this point, since I am far from my dream job, supporting myself as I get through college is important and can be very difficult. Getting this scholarship would be wonderful and could help a great deal financially in my future.

Dentistry is my dream and I feel that I could bring many great ideas and opportunities. With this scholarship, which to me is essential, my college life and financial future would be less stressful. Getting this scholarship would be a relief, for it would be years for me to pay back student loans. It would be a dream to have this scholarship to help lower my worries and help my financial future.
