Softball has been part of my life since day one. It’s part of who I am and has taught me so many new things. It taught me to keep my chin up even if my team or I have had a bad game. Softball has also helped me go out of my comfort zone, especially when I left my local team to join a club team. Joining a new team was a huge step up in my softball career. I was playing twice as many games and having a lot more fun with a team who is just as competitive as I am. I was extremely blessed to be part of such an amazing team, making it into the top 5 at 3 tournaments and the top 6 at nationals. Winning the Ashley Abrahamson Award in the Ashley Abrahamson tournament really helped me realize just who I am. The award goes to one player on each team who has a positive attitude, good sportsmanship, good student-athlete, love for the game, and who is a hard-working, team player and that’s exactly who I am. I believe that I have the talent and commitment to play for a college team. I know I can make a positive impact and be a great leader on your team!
