November 2016Personal Statement
My name is Kristyn Gardner and I'm from Perryville, Maryland. Currently, I am in my 5th year playing with the Maryland Legends out of Rising Sun, Maryland. This year I am on the 16U/18U team and consider myself a solid addition to the team as catcher. I always exhibit leadership, respect, and pride myself as being a team player and always gives 110% to the team and game.
I am a Freshman at Perryville High School. My GPA is 3.7. Just as I do on the softball field, I give 110% to my studies and aim to maintain or improve my GPA. I was selected as a member of the National Junior Honor Society in 2016.
I was a Setter and Captain for the high school JV volleyball team this fall. At the end of the season I was awarded MVP for my effort and leadership on and off the court.
Part of being a Legend is giving back to the organization and the community. I volunteer at the Perryville Fire Company with fundraising efforts; and mentor younger players from the local little league organization and the Legends team over the last 4 years.
My goal is to play college level softball while studying to become an athletic trainer. Thank you for your time and for reviewing my profile.
