Personal Statement

I have played softball competitively since I was about 8 years old but started playing softball when I was 6 years old. Since then I have always wanted to play softball in college. I see it as every practice is another opportunity to get there. I practice hard at every practice whether it's my teams' practice or pitching and hitting on my own, I practice as if it's my last ever. Go hard or go home. Also since I was a little girl I always dreamt about making Varsity at Shawnee Mission East and I did my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. We also went to State for the first time in school history my freshman year and I also was MVP for my team. My sophomore year I made Varsity again but sadly we didn't make it to State again. Junior year I was awarded 6A Sunflower League Honorable Mention and I got the Leadership Award. But anyways, to make your goals come true you have to work hard for it. My dream is to play in college in two years and I will do everything I can to get there. I am also registered in the NCAA Elegibility Center and my ID number is 1307389584.

My team, Kansas Classics went 6-0 in our first tournament back from high school ball. We scored 34 runs and only allowed 13 runs out of 6 games. I started 3 games and came in to save two of them. My ERA for the weekend was 1.47. I also had the winning bunt in one game to score a runner on third and second. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain and it rained us out for Monday. But we were the only team in 18A who went 6-0 so we ended up taking the tournament. And we even qualified to go to Minnesota for ASA 18A Nationals.

I played in the All Star game in Colorado in the summer of 2011. Then after that I got invited to play in a All American game in New York City.

I played in the All Star game last summer in 2012. I pitched and didn't allow any runs and only allowed one hit.

Last summer in Colorado in 2012 after the All Star game I made the All American Game. I decided not to play in it though because the game wouldn't start til around 9 pm and the next day my team had a game at 8 am and we would have to wake up at 5 am. It was also the first bracket game. So I decided to put my team first.

Kansas 12A State Champions
In 12A my old team, Hot Stix 96 went undefeated and we won State.

High School Regional Champs went to State first time in history
Last year was my freshman year in high school and we had the best season they had in school history. We won regiionals and we went to State. Even though we lost to Maize 8-6 we still had the best season in school history and plan to do it again this year.
