Lexi Thom '16 Recruiting Profile

From the first time I remember having my dad pitch balls to me in the backyard, I knew I loved softball. It has continued into a passion to play at the collegiate level. I've been playing competitive ball since I was 8. I play first base and a little right field and take great pride in my defensive skills. Whether it's with my high school, club team, hitting coach, or hitting with my dad in the basement I strive to get better every day. 
    I was a 3 sport athlete until just this last year I decided to drop my other sports to concentrate on softball. I know that to work as a team you must have a strong, mental, and encouraging mind. I believe I am very hardworking, something all leaders have in common. I love to pick up others, helping them improve while knowing I am growing as a teammate as well. 
    I currently am a 3.0 student and will do whatever it takes to improve upon that every semester. I started on my varsity softball team at Olathe south high school, ending with a title of 3rd in state. I appreciate you viewing my profile and I look forward to talking soon.
