Annika Tinsman - ...Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Annika Tinsman, I am mostly a 3rd baseman, but I can play shortstop too. I attend Pleasant Valley High School (Bettendorf, IA) and I graduate in 2021. Right now I am on the QC Crossfire, a Midwest travel team. I am 14 years old; 5’6, and 165lbs. Softball is very important to me; because it keeps me in mental & physical shape, I’ve made so many friends through softball, and I have become so much more of a positive person because of my softball experience. I have learned tons from coaches and teammates, I don’t know where I would be without the coaches I’ve had & learned from. I have learned through softball and coaches to be resilient as a person, but I also know that there are very negative people in softball and I don’t let that phase me and my attitude. I always try and stay positive no matter what.
My team would probably say that I have a big personality, am a very positive person and when the team is down I try and pick them up & don’t let it get to me. I am a very strong and consistent hitter that bring lots of energy to the field. I’m also a really good friend; it is easy for me to listen to advice.
I’m looking for a college program & coach that build cohesive teams and teammates. I’m willing to learn and feel that I’m coachable.
