I'm Hannah, but everyone knows me as Sparky. I have an intense passion for softball that is easily noticed by my teammates and opponents. I am a very competitive player that will help my team in any way possible in order to win. Ever since I started softball when I was four years old, I have dreamed of playing college softball. I wish to continue my softball career and take it to the next level by playing in a competitive college program while also getting a quality education.
I have been the starting varsity catcher for my high school team since freshman year and have played every game. I love to help lead my team and push them to the next level. I am the the first to the diamond every day and the last to leave. I push myself constantly and strive to improve my skills every time I step on the field. My coaches describe me as a mature player that is coachable and able to think on my feet under the pressure of the game.
I challenge myself in the classroom just as much as on the field. I have a 3.516 / 4.0 GPA while also filling my schedule with honors and AP classes and many extra curricular activities. I am involved in National Honor Society, choir, band, many different clubs, and many volunteering opportunities. I have been a volunteer coach for pre-k through middle school softball players to help them learn new skills and help them to love softball just as much as I do. I have also taken on a solo volunteering project of designing and maintaining the American Red Cross’ flower garden in my community.
