Hello Coach,
I am currently a sophmore at Portage High School in Portage, Indiana that will graduate in the summer of 2020. I am a lefty power hitter that also slaps. I play shorts stop, 2nd, and centerfield. As with any other top recruit, I have the measurables coaches look for. What separates me from other players? I've been taught at a very young age to respect and appreciate this game. Knowing competitive softball will more than likely be over after college, I fully appreciate the time the game has left for me. It shows by how I compete. I'm the first one to practice and last one to leave. I give my teammates and coaches 110% of every practice, scrimmage, or game I participate in. I'm very fortunate for the abilities I have and work hard to improve them every practice. My goal is to be better at the end of every practice than I was at the beginning. It's hard to sum up the player I am with words. The best way to understand it is to see me play. My goal is to play collegiate softball at a program where I can leave a mark and not just be another player. I want to be part of a program that I can look back at and feel I helped it move forward. I believe our first priority when attending college is an education. I would like to play for a program that believes in that also. I currently hold a 4.03 average on a 4.3 scale and have earned a spot on my school's Honors High Honor Roll for having a GPA over 4.0. I participate in my school's student council. A lot of people outside of softball don't know this, but I also play the violin in orchestra. I am also a scholar athlete award winner and a science olympiad. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
