Who I am as a person has been defined by events during an influential period of my life. I didn't have it easy growing up, but most of the time nobody has it easy. That only served to make me a better person. When I was young my mom signed me up for my very first year of little league softball. Throughout that season, I loved having something to do, something to keep me occupied. The next summer, sign-ups soon came along and I knew that it was definitely something I wanted to continue. Throughout my many years of playing this sport, I have learned that I can be a very aggressive person when needed, as well as a very forgiving person when errors are made and need to be forgotten immediately. I've found myself to be a determined person when I set my mind to it. My academic goals for high school include: getting a 3.5 GPA or above and to graduate cum lade. My academic goals for college include: graduating with a college degree and advancing my education to have a successful career in my future. I have had to overcome some obstacles to get where I am now. I have had to constantly prove myself and it has resulted in a positive outcome. I'm a very adventurous person and I'm not afraid to try new things. I believe I possess self-assurance and the confidence needed to succeed at anything I put my mind to doing.
