My grade point average is currently a 3.5/4.0. Playing softball for a major college or university program would provide me with the opportunity to earn my degree in pre-medicine. My career aspiration is to become a forensic pathologist. My integrity, work ethic, and desire to succeed provide me with the foundation to not only contribute to the success of a softball program but to be a first class representative of the college or university.
Throughout my high school career, I have been involved in extra-curricular activities and service projects. These experiences have brought me to the realization of our purpose in life. We are here for others in providing them with opportunities for success, assisting people facing adversity and making the habit of having those around me feel better about themselves because of my words and actions. In quoting Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you have done, but people will never forget how you made them feel".
There are so many quotations and pieces of advice that I have posted on my walls and lockers that provide me with the sense of overcoming adversity, doing what it takes to make a team successful and representing a college or university at the national level. I am only going to continue to improve as an athlete and as a person. Softball will provide me with the resources I feel will give me the greatest chance of success.
