Summer 2011Personal Statement
I am a 5' 5'' shortstop and outfielder from Rolling Meadows, IL. I have 8 years of travel softball experience, and was Varsity starting shortstop as a freshman, sophomore and junior. I am a multiple sport athlete, also playing basketball and captain of the Freshman and JV volleyball teams the past three years as a starting setter and hitter. I am looking for a school where I can get a good education and play softball as well. My gpa is 4.83 w/5.0 and at this point I am interested in Marine Biology, so I would like to get a degree in the field of Biological Sciences, and possibly Education. My goal is to be able to fulfill my dream, to play softball in college as a freshman, with the willingness to learn new positions, if needed.
