I consider myself a very determined and focused student and athlete. I'm the type of individual that gives 100 percent, both in the classroom and on the field. I love to write and be creative, and I really devote myself to whatever I'm doing, or whomever I'm helping. What makes me different from the thousands of other softball players you may be considering, is my endurance and athleticism, and my lifelong experience in the sport of gymnastics which has helped me with these things. I do my very best to be a complete and balanced person, and I understand the importance of preparation and organization. Being a Sophomore in high school this is my second year starting for the varsity team. I start as our starting shortstop and leadoff hitter. For my travel team, the Windy City ICE Blue, I am the starting shortstop and leadoff hitter. This season we have won 3 out of 5 tournaments including NSA State Championship, a bid to the ASA Nationals in Virginia, and a bid to the PGF Midwest Regional Championship, while taking second in the USSSA State Tournament. A school accomplishment is that I currently get over a 4.0 GPA and I put everything I have into my school work. I can promise that I will always be a hard and dedicated worker, trying to do nothing more than make your school proud. If my video is complete and uploaded by the time you review this personal statement, please consider viewing it so you can visually evaluate my physical attributes. Thank you very much for your time and consideration... Best regards. Skylor Hilger.
