Personal Statement

As a hard-working athlete, I have seen fitness training improve my health, development, and success in the game of softball over the years. When I began in softball, I was not the biggest or strongest player on the field. My love of the game grew strong and I knew I would have to work harder to compete at the level I aspired to. I now workout 3 times a week and have an Assistant Coach who has helped me continue to expand upon my fitness routines. My personal success with improving myself as an athlete has sparked an interest in the field of Exercise Science, Athletic Training and Kinesiology. I believe my personality would work well in helping or coaching others to become better athletes too. I am currently playing my fifth season for one of Chicagoland's elite softball programs, the White Sox Training Academy. Our team won the ASA Chicago Metro Championships at the 14U level in 2010, and again at the 16U level during this past summer season 2011. I am currently in my junior year at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville IL. I have been recognized by my teammates in high school as MVP of Defense, for my play in the outfield as well as behind the plate. I am a leader on the field and in the dugout and strive to encourage my teammates with a positive attitude. I constantly set goals for myself in softball and my current goal is to continue to bat well in the top 2 spots in the batting order and getting clutch hits when needed. My career goals at this time continue to be to work with athletes at the collegiate level to become better through athletic training and exercise, and coaching.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
