Personal Statement

(Sep 2015) With two years of high school left, I know that I still have a lot of growing to do both physically and mentally to become the best student and athlete I can be in college. These next two years, I will commit myself to getting the best grades possible while continuing to push myself to improve in all parts of my game. My goals for college are straight forward - 1. Attend and excel at a strong academic school, 2. Make an impact on the softball field and help the team achieve and exceed its goals, and 3. Prepare myself for life after college with a degree and skills that will benefit me in real life.

Softball has been a passion of mine since I was 8 years old. My years playing A-level travel ball have exposed me to all kinds of players, coaches, teams, and opportunities. I know that I can excel in most any environment, but I can have the greatest impact on a team where camaraderie, sportsmanship, and a positive winning attitude exist. I love the game, and in addition to my skills in the field and at the plate will bring a sense of enthusiasm, fun, and leadership to my college team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
